Essay introduction: This rhetorical analysis essay will show you some ways bullying is expressed, what bullying can lead people to and how to prevent or stop bullying. Bullying is a social issue that takes place all over and affects millions of people especially teenagers in schools. The word bullying means to praise or express pride in one’s own possessions, qualities, or accomplishments often to excess. Bullying can be expressed in different ways where the most common ones are, physical bullying, Verbal bullying, Cyberbullying and Social bullying. Some ways that you can tell that someone is being bullied is when he/she will have frequent headaches, difficulty sleeping or frequent nightmares, lost or destroyed clothing, books, electronics, or jewellery.

Summary: The Teen Magazine article “Why We Should Talk More Often About Bullying” the author Chiara Bramante spoke about the different types of bullying, the reasons why bullying happens in our society, the effects that bullying can cause and lastly she talks about what can someone do if they are getting bullied.
Exigence: The exigence of this article is that the author believes that when someone gets bullied it leaves a scar on their soul that doesn’t heal and this emotional damage remains with them for the rest of the life and changes perspective and adjusts the way they think.
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to inform parents and all the society of how bullying can affect especially teenagers. She mentioned the 4 common ways of how bullying can be expressed and also she shows some of the effects that can come from bullying.Audience: Author’s audience in this article is both the teenagers who are most likely to get bullied and the parents. With this article the author wants to inform the teenagers first so they can be aware of bullying and the parents so they will know the effects of bullying. So by informing theparents, it will be easier for them to know if their child is being bullied.
Genre: Genre of this article is informative, you can easily tell that by reading how much information it contains about bullying and how well it is explained.
Stance: The position of the author for this article is that she wants teenagers and parents to be aware of bullying and wants them to get informed on the ways how it can come and how it can be addressed.

Summary: On this article the author speaks and gives information about how bullying and victimization are related to suicide. The author said ” In 2007, a random sample of 1,963 middle-schoolers from one of the largest school districts in the United States completed a survey of Internet use and experiences”. Youth who experienced traditional bullying or cyberbullying, as either an offender or a victim, had more suicidal thoughts and were more likely to attempt suicide than those who had not experienced such forms of peer aggression.
Exigence: The exigence of this article is that the authors believe that a large number of youth are being bullied in schools and believe that talking about this topic will lead the parents and the school teachers pay more attention on kids who might be getting bullied which will prevent them from committing suicide.
Purpose: The author’s purpose for this article is to let us know how easy and how much bullying can spread.
Audience: The audience of this article are the American parents because it shows them statistics of bullying in schools and wants them to be aware of their child because he/she might be getting bullied.
Genre: The genre of this article is persuasive because the author wants to convince the readers with his information and statistics that bullying is a huge social issue that is affecting a lot of teenagers.
Stance: The message of the author on this article is: Parents should spend more time with their kids so they can express themselves with their parents and know if their child is being bullied.

Summary: In the article the author tells the story of a highschool teenager who was being bullied for a long time and did not find any help about that at the institutions of his school. So this led the teenager to bring a knife to school and stab to death one of his classmates who used to bully him.

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to raise the voice of the people who are getting bullied and make the government pay more attention to this issue.

Genre: The genre of this article is descriptive because it describes what an bullied kid who did not have where to address his problem will do to avoid getting bullied.

Stance: Author’s message in this article is that he wants parents and school staff to know that bullying can start from kindergarten.
Conclusion: The sources basically share the same idea on how bullying can affect the teenagers. They give ways of how bullying can be expressed, how can parents know when their child is beingbullied and what to do when someone is being bullied. They all talk and give examples of how bullying has affected different teenagers. Something that we all should do is to look out for each other and when we see that someone is getting bullied we should try to stop if we can but if we cannot we should address this to its relevant institution.
